Martin Luther and change in the Age of Confession
BBF hosts mobile exhibition from January 4, 2012 until February 2, 2012
On the occasion of the imminent reformation anniversary, the Bibliothek für Bildungsgeschichtliche Forschung (Library for the History of Education) presents a multimedia mobile exhibition on Martin Luther and his age. The exhibition was designed by the Thuringian institute for continuing teacher education, curriculum development and media, (ThiLLM), together with educational science students at Erfurt University, supervised by PD Dr. Jens Brachmann.
Fundamental societal topics such as religious belief and freedom, the Church and the secular world, language and the media as well as education and school are exemplarily illustrated for the period of Reformation. By taking a historical approach, the exhibition intends to evoke discussions of topics that are highly relevant today, e.g. religious intolerance and discrimination.
Anyone with an interest in the topic is welcome to attend the opening presentation by
PD Dr. Jens Brachmann, on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 18:30.
