International

Following its tradition and name, the DIPF often operates at an international level. It co-operates with partners in other nations and also with supra-national organisations and works on issues of international exchange and comparison. Apart from playing an active role in the development of international and European information associations, the DIPF participates in international science and information networks, it acquires funding from the EU in the European Research Area (ERA) and it also takes on servicing functions in educational co-ordination in Europe.
