BMBF Portal on the Promotion of Empirical Educational Research

The portal presents information on the BMBF Framework Programme for the Promotion of Empirical Educational Research.

The website introduces the different funding priorities that are subject to the BMB’s funding programme, and it provides insights into the respective projects.

Moreover, the portal encompasses a bibliographical database, allowing users to serch for publications linked to the research projects and funded within the Framework Programme.

The portal collates the following information services in a user-friendly manner and renders them searchable:

• Information on individual research projects: description of project, institutions and persons involved;
• Information on events relevant in the context of research funded within the Framework Programme;
• Documentation of publications of research findings generated in the context of the Framework
• Programme for the Promotion of Empirical Educational Research;
• Documentation of the BMBF series ”Schriftenreihe  Bildungsforschung“, published in the context of the Framework Programme for the Promotion of Empirical Educational Research;
• (permanent, reliable accessibility of the series and openly electronically accessible publications from the research priorities is assured via the academic repository pedocs , located at  the German Education Portal)

History

The Information Center for Education (DIPF) developed the portal in 2008.
