Innovation portal

The innovation portal presents projects and models financed by the federal government and the states, targeting innovative measures in educational policy.

The database of “Innovative projects  and programmes ofthe government and the states for the development of quality in education“ constitutes  the core of the portal. It contains projects from all relevant structures in education. At present, 800 records are stored.

Educational administrators, educational researchers and school practitioners are thus given a better and quicker insight into reform measures and developments in education.

The database is supplemented with thematically relevant information e.g.  regarding the national report on education, science institutions, EU programmes.

The online magazine “Bildung und Innovation“, can be found on the portal, as well as hints on events.

Co-operation and history

The innovation portal is provided under the umbrella of the German Education Server. Until late 2008, a respective project was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Standing Conference of Ministers of Cultural Affairs in the Länder states in the Federal Republic of Germany (KMK).

The DIPF holds responsible for the portal’s contents.

A working group of  persons representing the federal government and the states (AG "Innovationsportal")  monitors the portal and related activities.
