Complete Edition of Adolf Reichwein's Pedagogical Work

Critical editions of texts fulfil the task of presenting the text of a written source in a clear and readable way with the aim of representing it as completely and authentically as possible. In co-operation with the Adolf-Reichwein-Society a commented edition of the pedagogical work of Adolf Reichwein is being compiled.

Four volumes have been printed to date. The fifth and last volume will follow in 2013. A printed edition  will be supplemented by a digitized version of his complete works.

The guidelines of the Text Encoding Initiate (TEI) - widely used by philologists - are being used as markup system for the computer edition. The use of this international standard based on XML will guarantee that the electronic edition will be conserved permanently independent of specific programs and operating systems.

Based on experiences gained in this project additional editorial projects have been initiated since.
