EIPEE / Evidence Informed Policy and Practice in Education in Europe

The DIPF is a partner in the EU project  “Evidence Informed Policy and Practice in Education in Europe”. The Office for International Cooperation in Education participates in this EU project on evidence-based education policy and practice, which was successfully coordinated by the „Evidence for Policy and Practice Information and Co-ordinating Centre“ (EPPI-Centre) at the Institute of Education in London in 2010 and 2011. Meanwhile, the project has ben granted a second phase of funding, which terminates in 2013. The EU project is financed within the framework programme for Lifelong Learning.

The project aims to network brokerage initiatives in the field of educational research and knowledge transfer across Europe, thus supporting evidence-based educational policy and practice.

To this end, the project partners cooperate in the following areas:

• Exchange of experiences for setting up Brokerage mechanisms
• Joint testing of innovative Brokerage initiatives
• Development of a coherent infrastructure
• Development of benchmarks for assessing the quality of  research and development of a model for recommending evidence-based educational research to policy and practice
• Development and dissemination of concrete tools for knowledge transfer (internet, brochures, books, events etc.)

A larger conference will be organised each year, inviting all European reserchers, practitioners, and interested parties working in policy and administration.
