A Study Programme for Supporting Doctoral Projects in Empirical Educational Research

Within this programme young scientists in the domain of empirical educational research are supported with a priority on "empirical research based on data from official statistics and process- and panel data from different origins (including research on indicators)" as well as “competence diagnostics “ and “empirical foundations of subject didactics“ for a period of three years.
A comprehensive support programme of studies shall be offered to the doctoral students working within the framework programme of the Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), which relates to academic and research methodological qualification as well as preparing the students for publishing in the English language and taking part in international conferences. The projected study opportunities intend to support the BMBF programme and its achievement in a sustainable manner. The projected programme will thus be additional to the support measures the doctoral students receive from their respective universities. We thus endeavour to closely co-operate with their main referees so that counselling is complementary.
