Edition of the Correspondence Between Eduard Spranger and Käthe Hadlich

Project description

Eduard Spranger (1882–1963) was one of the most important figures in pedagogical humanities in the 20th century. He maintained an animated correspondence by letter.

Correspondence with one of his most outstanding partners in writing, Käthe Hadlich (1872–1960) encompasses nearly all the topics and spheres relevant in Spranger‘s life. It can be regarded as a kind of diary and a central means of self reflection.

More than 4,500 letters and postcards were made available in an open access online edition, based on TEI-Standard (Standard of the Text Encoding Initiative):

Online Edition of the Correspondence of Eduard Spranger and Käthe Hadlich (in German)

The project was funded by the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft).
