Technology Based Assessment
From 2007 to 2011, "Technology Based Assessment" received project funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In January 2011, the project was institutionalised, subject to a joint funding initiative by the federation (Bund) and the states (Länder). Since then, TBA has been a research and infrastructure unit at DIPF. TBA conducts fundamental and application-oriented research and as a permanent task, the unit supports educational research institutions and projects in developing and implementing technology-based assessment.
Technology Based Assessment is an interdisciplinary research and infrastructure unit that concentrates computer science and competence assessment in a service, development and research structure. The team of psychometricians, computer scientists and information scientists supports national as well as international educational projects with technology-based test methods (e.g. PISA, PIAAC, NEPS).
Research and development projects are carried out to explore technology-based assessment for the improvement of test validity and increase of measurement efficiency. Procedures and standards are developed to optimise technology-based test development processes.
You can find comprehensive information on the research topic Technology Based Assessment and on the website of the Technology Based Assessment unit.
