By providing librarian and digital services, the libraries at DIPF offer educational researchers unrestricted access to scientific literature, thus rendering a relevant contribution to the fulfillment of fundamental research needs.
The Educational Research Library in Frankfurt (FFB)is the institute’s own library; it is responsible for providing employees in both Berlin and Frankfurt with the scientific literature and information they need. The Library is one of the major libraries with a special focus in Germany and is thus open to the public. For more than 60 years, the FFB has been an elementary part of the library landscape in the Rhine-Main region, thus contributing to the guarantee of free access to scientific information in the fields of educational research and educational science for scientists and practitioners as well as anyone with a special interest in the field.
The holdings, catalogues and archive as well as digital editions and databases of the Research Library for the History of Education (BBF) render a significant contribution to providing researchers who are interested in the history of education with fundamental services and sources.
The archive of the Research Library for the History of Education (BBF) offers scientists with an interest in the history of education papers and personal trusts, collections and files. Moreover, the archive documents the history of raising and practically educating children in the German-speaking area.
