  • 1987-1996 Alexander von Humboldt-Gymnasium Schweinfurt (grammar school)
  • 1993-1994 scholarship within the parlamentarian partnership programme, spent one year at a us-american high school (Award of Academic Excellence)
  • 1997-2004 studied psychology at Julius-Maximilian-University Würzburg, with priority on cognitive and applied developmental psychology
  • 2004-2005 freelancer in adult education, organisation psychology
  • 2005-2011 academic staff member at the German Research Association research group BiKS (education processes, competence development and selection decisions in preschool and primary school)
  • 2009-2011 scholarship from Robert-Bosch Foundation, research group for early childhood education (funding directive I – doctoral student)
  • August 2011 submission of doctoral thesis “Lernumwelten von Kindergartenkindern mit besonderen Begabungen“ (learning environments of gifted preschool children”, University of Bamberg
