  • acquired the doctoral degree in 2006 from the Department of Educational and Cultural Sciences at the University of Osnabrueck (PhD)
  • studied Pedagogics, Foreign Languages Philology, German and English at the Pedagogical University of Barnaul and acquired a teaching diploma (1998)

Professional activities

  • Deputy project coordinator at the German Institute for International Educational Research in the project ”Local Educational Monitoring“ as part of the BMBF Programme “Lernen vor Ort“ (“Learning in the Community“) (since Feb. 2011);
  • Senior researcher at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at the University of Osnabrueck in the transnational research project "Integration and Naturalisation Tests, The New Way to European Citizenship“ (INTEC), and in the project ”Integration Mediators in Lower Saxony“ on behalf of the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior, Sports and Integration (2008-2010);
  • Research Fellow at the Institute for Political Sciences at the University of Muenster in the project “Political Potential of the Internet. The virtual Diaspora of Migrants from Russia and Turkey in Germany”, funded by the Fritz-Thyssen Trust (until Oct. 2007);
  • Researcher engaged in the scientific monitoring of the project “Integrating Migrants - Optimisation of Municipal Integration Models in Muenster (Germany) and Enschede (Netherlands)” (2004 until 2007);
