Research in the History of Education

The complex situation educational policy is facing today as well as policymaking as such are rooted in history. Research in the history of education takes the history of school development, instruction, education and teacher training into perspective as well as setting up schools and their equipment. In how far social frameworks of reference have changed also bears relevance.

Editions of selected texts which provide researchers with a profound, reliable source of data, are thus a fundamental and permanent task conducted by the Library for Educational History at the DIPF.
