Information scientific research at the DIPF is geared toward optimizing the institutional information products. Innovative measures and services are developed, tested and implemented. Their effectiveness and suitability are continually evaluated.

Information scientific doctoral projects and the exchange with cooperation partners ensure that the latest research findings are integrated into information practice.

Insights are reciprocally transferred to the information science community, thus contributing to the discourse.
