Abstract: Der Autor erläutert Konzeption und Aufbau desVirtuellen Bildarchivs "Pictura Paedagogica Online" (PPO), welches auf einem Kooperationsprojekt zwischender Bibliothek für Bildungsgeschichtliche Forschungdes Deutschen Instituts für InternationalePädagogische Forschung und des Instituts fürAngewandte Erziehungswissenschaft und AllgemeineDidaktik der Universität Hildesheim beruht. Dabeiwerden sowohl die Bildquellen und deren technische Bearbeitung (Verfilmung/Digitalisierung) erläutert, als auch die formale und inhaltliche Erschließung derDigitalisate dargelegt. Abschließend werden dieRecherchemöglichkeiten (Standard- bzw. Expertensuche) vorgestellt.
Abstract (english): The author describes the conception and structure ofthe virtual picture archive "Pictura PaedagogicaOline" (PPO), which is based on co- operation betweenthe Library for Educational History Research of the German Institute for International EducationalResearch and the Institute for Applied Education Science and General Didactics of the University ofHildesheim. The concerned collections of pictures aredescribed, the technical handling of the images (filming/digitization) is documented, as well as theformal and contentwise indexing of the necessary data. Finally the homepage of PPO and the searchpossibilities are shown.
