Abstract: Das IHBB enthält Berichte zu den Berufsbildungssystemen der Industriestaaten sowie ausgewählter Schwellen- und Entwicklungsländer. Sie beschreiben und analysieren die Berufsbildungssysteme im Kontext der gesellschaftlichen, politischen und wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung und des Bildungswesens insgesamt. Das IHBB wird seit 1995 als Loseblattsammlung vom DIPF herausgegeben. Zielgruppen sind Experten, die in die nationale und internationale Berufsbildungsarbeit eingebunden sind, Unternehmen, die sich international orientieren, Wissenschaftler der vergleichenden Be- rufsbildungsforschung. Das Handbuch wendet sich darüber hinaus an Politik und Verwaltung (Bildungsverwaltung, Verbände, Kammern, u.ä.), Hochschulen, Studenten, Bibliotheken u.ä.
Abstract (english): The International Handbook on Vocational Education and Training (VET) contains country reports which analyse and compare systems of initial and continuing vocational training in several industrialized and newly industrialized as well as developing countries. The findings are presented within the context of the social, political and economic as well as educational systems in the respective country, including also the relevant international aspects. The handbook has been published since 1995 in a loose-leaf- collection by the DIPF. Target groups are experts in the field of VET in- volved in the national and international VET work, internationally operating companies, scientists involved in comparative VET research work; moreover representatives of politics and administration in the field of VET, chambers, professional and other associations, trade unions etc.), universities, students, libraries etc.
