Abstract: Der Artikel geht von der These aus, dass eine zunehmende Anzahl von deutschen Unternehmen die steigende Bedeutung der Förderung ihrer Mitarbeiter in Bezug auf Weiterbildung und berufsübergreifende Kompetenzen erkannt hat. Allerdings sind beim momentanen Sachstand die von den Unternehmen gesuchten Kompetenzprofile meist noch unzureichend erfasst, evaluiert und anerkannt. Ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Schaffung von den dem entgegen wirkenden Supportstrukturen stellt das dargestellte Pilotprojekt der Bund-Länder-Kommission "Weiterbildungspass mit Zertifizierung informellen Lernens" dar, das sich nach einer Machbarkeitsstudie, der Erprobungs- und Evaluationsphase zurzeit in der breiteren Implementierungsphase befindet. Dieses unter der Bezeichnung ProfilPASS-System dargestellte nationale Instrument mit aufzubauenden Beratungsstrukturen steht am Anfang eines längeren bildungspolitisches Weges zur systematischeren Sichtbarmachung, gesellschaftlich verbesserten Akzeptanz und einen veränderten Anerkennungskultur von informell erworbenen Kompetenzen unterhalb der ordnungspolitischen Ebene.
Abstract (english): The article argues that while an increasing number of German firms recognize they must continuously pay for and develop new training and Cross-occupational competencies in their employees, the actual skills they are searching for and wish to foster are still improperly defined, measured, and evaluated. An important contribution for support structures presents a program which is recently commissioned by the German federal government to help resolve this problem is the project "Further Education Passbook with Certification of Informal Learning," which is currently in a broader implementation phase. Acceptance of this national document would provide a tangible way to define and certify a certain set of skills currently in demand. The document, he believes, would go a long way also to streamlining the recognition of nonformal, adult learning qualifications. As but one piece of evidence, this initiative shows how public and private firms and individuals are starting to find common ground in occupational training and further education, an area of social action they all recognize as important.
