Abstract: Grundlegende Probleme und Postulate interkultureller Erziehung und deren Wirkungen auf allgemeine Erziehungsfragen, insbesondere die Werteerziehung, werden im Spiegel gesellschaftlicher und politischer Wandlungen in ganz Europa diskutiert. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Herausbildung multikultureller Gesellschaften und deren Folgen für die Formung multipler Identitäten in bisher mehr oder weniger ethnisch homogenen Nationalstaaten. Konkrete Beispiele, die der deutschen Situation entnommen sind, dienen der Erläuterung.
Abstract (english): Basic issues and postulates concerning intercultural education and their impacts on overall educational questions, in particular value education, are discussed in the mirror of social and political changes all over Europe. The focus is laid on the emergence of multicultural societies and its consequences for the building of multiple identities in more or less ethnically homogeneous nation-states. Concrete examples, taken from the German situation, have an explanatory function.
