Abstract: Das IHBB ist eine wissenschaftlich entwickelte Informationsquelle. In ihm werden die Berufs-bildungssysteme der Industriestaaten sowie ausgewählten Schwellen- und Entwicklungsländern in einzelnen Länderstudien im Kontext der gesel lschaftlichen, politischen und wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung und des Bildungswesens dargestellt, analysiert, verglichen und kritisch gewürdigt, sowie in die internationalen Bezüge eingebunden. Das IHBB wird seit 1995 als Loseblattsammlung im Deutschen Institut für Internationale Päda-gogische Forschung herausgegeben. 2000 wurde es um vier neue Länderstudien und vier Über-arbeitungen ergänzt. Zielgruppen sind Experten der beruflicher Bildung, die in die nationale und internationale Berufsbildungsarbeit involviert sind, Unternehmen, die sich international orientie-ren, Wissenschaftler der vergleichenden Berufsbildungsforschung; Politik und Verwaltung (Bil-dungs- und Berufsbildungsverwaltung, Verbände, Kammern, u.ä.), wissenschaftliche Hoch-schulen, Studenten, Bibliotheken u.ä.
Abstract (english): Basic publication one binder with 1,714 pages, supplements in loose-leaf form. By December 2000: 23 supplements (2.600 pages) plus a second and a third binder The handbook comprises now 40 country studies as well as a summarizing comparison. The International Handbook of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TEVET) is a scientifically compiled source of information. Its individual studies present, analyze, compare, and take a critical look at the systems of initial and continuing vocational training in various industrialized and newly industrialized as well as developing countries within the context of the respective social, political, and economic, as well as educational systems in each country, whilst it also brings in the relevant international aspects. The handbook has been published ever since 1995 in loose-leaf form by the German Institute for International Educational Research. In 2000, four new country studies and four revised studies were added. The focus groups comprise experts in the field of TEVET involved in the national and international TEVET work , internationally operating companies, scientists doing compara-tive TEVET research work; moreover, representatives of politics and administration (adminis-trative bodies of general education, as well as of technical and vocational education and training, various cham-bers, professio-nal and other associations, trade unions, etc.), scientific universities, students, libraries, etc.
