Abstract(englisch):
The goal of this study is to show that individual experiences within the family context have a continuous effect on intergenerational transmission in the civic and political field and ultimately on adolescents' involvement in the political domain. ... The main hypothesis of this chapter is that parental opinions and interests have a strong influence on the development of their children's political identity. Thus, strong correlations are expected between parents' and adolescents' orientations. Moreover, it is assumed that this process is facilitated over time by the level of parental consensus, the stability of parental opinions, and the quality of family interaction, which in turn makes reciprocal intergenerational influence possible.
