Abstract(englisch):
All-day schools are different from the traditional German half-day schools in so far as they offer extracurricular activities and programs for their pupils. In terms of the pedagogic research, this fact raises the question - in analogy to the lessons - which factors are important for good extracurricular all-day activities, in how far it is possible to evaluate their quality (especially with a view to educational aspects) and what effects occur with respect to these factors. On the basis of a model created by Radisch and Klieme, the presentation discusses theoretical perspectives of the educational quality of extracurricular activities. In addition to the US research concerning theeffectiveness of "organized activities", it especially relates to the study on the development of all-day schools ( StEG) which, for the first time, provides data and information concerning the extracurricular offers at all-day schools in Germany.
