Professor Dr. em. Lutz Eckensberger receives Ernst-E.-Boesch-Prize 2017

The former Director of DIPF was awarded the prize by the Gesellschaft für Kulturpsychologie in September 2017.

Professor Eckensbeger was the DIPF's Director from 1998 until 2004. He was honoured for his life's work in promoting and desseminating scientific cultural psychology during the 13th biannual meeting of the Gesellschaft für Kulturpsychologie on 15 September 2017. "With Lutz Eckensberger a scientist is honored, who worked together with Ernst E. Boesch and helped to make the Saarbrücken approach internationally visible as well as developed an own theoretical approach in cultural psychology", the Gesellschaft für Kulturpsychologie writes. "Beside numerous contributions to methods and methodology of cultural comparison, to action theory, and cultural psychology, his works on moral judgment are distinguished."
