Numerous publications are available from the international research project GREAT.

GREAT (Games Realising Effective & Affective Transformation (in Societal and Cultural Domains)) investigates how digital games can be used to promote social engagement among citizens and facilitate dialogue between them and political actors. In terms of content, the project takes a climate protection perspective on the topic. Coordinated by DIPF, the project has now published a wealth of information and work results, including three brief overviews for policymakers.

Firstly, these policy briefs introduce the two central gaming approaches used in the project. Secondly, they present the results of the 'Gaming for Good' exchange meeting held during the 2024 Sustainability Summit in New York City. Thirdly, they outline how a game-based approach was used to capture citizens' views on an energy-efficient green roof policy in Cyprus. Two further publications provide information on suitable business models and digital approaches for using games to promote greater social engagement. A flyer is also available that briefly introduces GREAT. Finally, the research team has set up its own LinkedIn group.
