A recently launched helpdesk provides support in navigating KonsortSWD's extensive infrastructure offering.

The Helpdesk is a digital guide that supports users in navigating the infrastructure offer of the social, behavioural, educational, and economic sciences on the KonsortSWD website. For example, it provides support with questions on planning data management, archiving research data, and using data from research data centres. It is primarily aimed at researchers and interested parties who are new to the topic of research data management and the services offered by KonsortSWD, and who require targeted support. Information on training courses, handouts and tools can also be requested via the helpdesk.

‘We are pleased to offer the KonsortSWD Helpdesk as a low-threshold contact point for all questions about KonsortSWD's broad and diverse research data infrastructure,’ says Robert Herrenbrück from the project team. The project is being carried out at the Information Centre for Education at the DIPF and is managed by Dr. Sonja Bayer.

Thanks to the availability of a broad network of experts, enquiries can be forwarded quickly and specifically to the right contact person, the right research data centre or other services. ‘This enables us to support enquirers promptly and connect them with the appropriate contact,' says Herrenbrück. This is a helpful service, given that KonsortSWD comprises a total of 40 research data centres.
