Abstract (english): INFORGE (INterindustry FORecasting GErmany) is a 58 sector econometric simulation and forecasting model for Germany. Its performance is founded on the construction principles bottom up and fully integrated. The bottom-up principle refers to the fact that each branch of the economy is modelled in great detail (around 150 model variables for each of the 58 commodity and service groups) and that the macroeconomic totals are calculated via explicit aggregationwithin the model. The fully integrated construction principle means, that the model describes the mutual input-output relations between the commodity and service branches as well as the complex and simultaneous processes of income generation, income distribution, income redistribution and use of income. In addition the integration of the national economy into world trade is taken into account with great detail. The model is presented in this contribution by introducing its components individually. Future model extensions as well as further applications are also discussed.
