The evaluation of scientific performance isgaining importance in all research disciplines.The basic process of the evaluation is peer reviewing, which is a time-consuming activity. In order to facilitate and speed up peerreviewing processes we have developed anexploratory NLP system in the field of educationalsciences. The system highlights keysentences, which are supposed to reflect themost important threads of the article. The highlighted sentences offer guidance on thecontent-level while structural elements - thetitle, abstract, keywords, section headings - give an orientation about the design of the argumentationin the article. The system is implementedusing a discourse analysis modulecalled concept matching applied on top of theXerox Incremental Parser, a rule-based dependency parser. The first results are promisingand indicate the directions for the futuredevelopment of the system.(DIPF/Orig.)
