IDeA – project elbe

Professionals in education and care (e.g. child carers, teachers) are facing many challenges in their daily routine. An important aspect of their work is to support and to assist the development of children with different individual conditions, learning abilities, needs and skills
Research projects in the programmatic IDeA area of "Professionalising educational staff" focus on the action competencies of teachers amongst other topics (e.g. parental counselling competency, diagnostic competency, didactic competency), the development of these competencies across the professional careers of teachers and the effectiveness of initial and further training programmes. We intend to prepare teachers for dealing with individual learning needs of their students in everyday school life. Work in the programmatic area of „Professionalising educational staff“ is closely intertwined with the work conducted in the programmatic area of individually adapted learning environments.
