OSI@DIPF – Open Science Indicators for DIPF
The project expands the existing system of performance documentation at DIPF with a view to Open Science. The dimensions of Open Access, FAIR Data, Open Educational Resources, Open Infrastructure, Open Software and Open Methodology are taken into account.
Project Description
In its strategy ‘Knowledge about Education – The DIPF Strategy until 2027’, the DIPF has defined Open Science as one of its four central strategic priorities. In order to enable and promote Open Science at the DIPF, various measures have been and are being implemented, including the formulation of an Open Science Codex, the establishment of an exchange platform for good practice in Open Science, the provision of continuing education and discussion formats, and the further development of technical and organisational support processes for the implementation of Open Science (e.g. in the form of services for Open Access publishing or research data management).
This project is dedicated to the DIPF's further goal in the context of establishing Open Science, which is to expand and develop the existing system of performance documentation in this scientific practice. All dimensions of Open Science described in the Open Science codex are to be taken into account: Open Access, Open/FAIR Data, Open Educational Resources, Open Infrastructure, Open Software and Open Methodology.
There are currently no established standards for recording achievements and monitoring Open Science, neither at an interdisciplinary nor discipline-specific level. Accordingly, existing indicators must be adapted or new indicators defined and developed for all dimensions of Open Science within the framework of this project. In order to implement this with the greatest possible expertise, experts at DIPF who conduct research in the individual dimensions or provide infrastructure will be consulted and involved in the project.
Project Objectives
The aim of the project is the expansion of performance documentation at DIPF to include indicators for the dimensions of Open Access, FAIR Data, Open Educational Resources, Open Infrastructure, Open Software and Open Methodology.
