On November 25 and 26, 2025, a two-part event on the visualisation of historical data will take place in Berlin. Both events will be held in English. The Digital History of Education Lab (DHELab) at the BBF at DIPF invites all interested parties to attend.

  • Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 6 to 8 p.m.:
    Evening lectures on the topic “From Networks to Narratives – Visualisation of historical research data.” Tomas Vancisi (University of Edinburgh), Florian Windhager (University of Applied Sciences Krems), and Mathieu Jacomy (University of Aalborg) will present their current research and discuss innovative approaches to the visualisation of historical data. The event will conclude with drinks and snacks.

  • Wednesday, November 26, 2025, approx. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
    A hands-on workshop will introduce the visualisation software Gephi. It will be led by Mathieu Jacomy, the developer of Gephi.
