As part of the event series "Open Science - Opportunities for Educational Research", the DIPF working group "Open Research and Practice" is organising the workshop "Reproducible Research with Nix and rix" on 16th May. Bruno Rodrigues, statistician for the Ministry of Higher Education and Research in Luxembourg, will present the Nix package manager, which allows reproducible software installations and can be used to install not only R, but also R packages from CRAN, Bioconductor and Github. The {rix} package developed by Bruno Rodriguez and his colleague Philipp Baumann helps to simplify the use of Nix.
The workshop will be held in English. Good knowledge of R and the command line is required. The Nix package manager and the {rix} package must already be installed.
All workshops, lectures and discussions are aimed at educational researchers and people who teach or develop infrastructure in the field of educational research and educational science. They take place online and can be booked via the Leibniz Association's LOS! programme.
