INCLASS Learning Platform
The INCLASS learning platform provides digital training and assessment tools that enable educational professionals, particularly those working in schools, to acquire specific knowledge about autism and autism-specific inclusive strategies and courses of action.
About
The INCLASS learning platform comprises three digital tools, which will be released in succession. The interactive training is already online.
Interactive Training Modules
Five interactive modules teach important basics and skills for autism-sensitive inclusive teaching and dealing with autistic students outside of class. Each module takes 30-60 minutes to complete. Optionally, a final test can be taken afterwards to receive a certificate of participation.
Orientation to Individual Learning Needs
A self-assessment test helps participants reflect on their own skills in dealing with autistic children and better assess their learning needs. It evaluates the knowledge, beliefs, and motivation regarding autism-sensitive schooling and provides individualised recommendations for specific training content. The tool can also be used to visualise and track learning progress at the end of the training.
Smartphone App for Recording Individual Barriers Faced by Autistic Students
The app allows autistic students to indicate on a daily basis how they experienced their school day. Based on these daily assessments, teachers gain relevant information about individual autistic children and can respond to them in a targeted manner.
