FLINK-SRL – Self-Regulation and Reading Fluency

FLINK-SRL extends the digital reading intervention FLINK by integrating self-regulation prompts. The project aims to support students in planning, monitoring, and reflecting on their learning process. By fostering deeper engagement with the learning materials, FLINK-SRL seeks to enhance the overall effectiveness of the intervention.

Project Description

The FLINK-SRL project focuses on extending the digital reading intervention FLINK by integrating self-regulation prompts. Its aim is not only to improve students’ reading fluency but also to support them in consciously planning, monitoring, and reflecting on their learning process. To achieve this, self-regulation prompts are incorporated into the existing digital intervention and evaluated scientifically. The project investigates whether this extension leads to deeper engagement with the learning materials and enhances the overall effectiveness of the reading intervention. Furthermore, it examines which self-regulated learning (SRL) components are most effective and how they can be successfully integrated into digital learning environments to sustainably improve reading instruction.

Project Objectives

The project aims to support students in planning, monitoring, and reflecting on their learning process by the development and pilot testing of self-regulation components within the FLINK training programme.
