Abstract (english): We present an analysis of the correlation between conventionally assessed reading compe-tence and performance in dynamic assessments of different domains. By systematically searching across 14 databases, we identified 13 papers that are relevant for the research objective which contained 16 effect sizes. The meta-analytical assessment of the effect sizes revealed a medium correlation of dynamically assessed learning potential with high-level reading competence measures (r = .386) and with other reading competence measures in particularly heterogeneous samples (r = .386). The correlation between learning potential and reading competence is independent from whether learning potential was assessed in a dynamic test of reading competence or in a dynamic test of cognitive factors.
